This system is developed by our company. It can monitor the operating status of high-voltage cables through online monitoring, guiding the maintenance department to promptly handle and prevent potential safety hazards, preventing problems before they occur, and providing a guarantee for the safe operation of the cables.

The system is a high-voltage cable fault early warning and location system developed by using advanced computer technology, sensor technology, optical fiber communication technology, and wireless 4G communication technology. It can monitor the high-frequency fault traveling wave current signals when the cable fails in real time.

This system utilizes the propagation time of the transient traveling wave of cable faults between the fault point and both ends of the cable, and calculates the distance from the fault point to the cable installation and collection terminal online to achieve rapid and accurate location of the cable fault.





  The principle of traveling wave distance measurement utilizes the traveling wave signals of high-frequency fault transient voltages and currents to indirectly determine the distance of the fault point. It includes single-ended traveling wave distance measurement method and double-ended traveling wave distance measurement method. The task of fault distance measurement is to calculate the fault distance when a certain point of the cable line fails, based on the measured current, voltage and line impedance at both ends of the line. Traveling wave distance measurement is based on considering the distributed parameters of the transmission line, directly utilizing the transient traveling wave signals generated by the fault, and conducting analysis and calculation on them. Since the 1970s, the power system has begun to study traveling wave technology. With the development of science and technology and the application of new technologies in practice, traveling wave distance measurement technology has made great progress, especially in recent years, it has been widely applied in transmission lines.
